Bazlama - Turkish Flat Bread, Real Hummus, Baba Ghanoush, Hamusta Soup, Easy Lamb Shawarma For dessert, I suggest you try luqaimat. This is spelled a hundred different ways, but they all mean little fried balls of dough drizzled with date syrup. Yes, yes, yes, the similarity to doughnut holes is uncanny, but there are some subtle differences that put luqaimat in a league of their own. Ever had a doughnut hole with saffron in it? As far as I am concerned, dessert is the best part of any meal, and I always look forward to travelling around and experiencing as many of these local delights as possible.
